Sacyr Infraestructuras has been present in the USA since December 2014 through its subsidiary Sacyr Construction USA LLC and its branch Sacyr Construcción SA, and became established in the country in its own right when it opened its Miami offices in 2015. In its early stages it focused on bidding for design and build and concession contracts, and in 2017 moved into hard-bid type contracts (construction contracts with a unit price). With its acquired knowledge of the market, and only in the last nine months of 2018, Sacyr Infraestructuras has been awarded its first four contracts in Florida, accumulating a contract portfolio for the sum of 322 million euros. With this important milestone it meets the objectives of its 2015-2018 strategic plan, which set the important objective of entering the US market.
