This is a project developed by Monte Azul (private distribution company) and it will be the first independent terminal constructed in 50 years to supply fuel to the macro region of south Peru.
The project involves building a fuel storage and distribution terminal with the capacity for 550,000 barrels, in the locality of Mollendo, in the department of Arequipa (Peru), the purpose of which is to meet growing demands for fuel in the south of the region since infrastructures have not kept pace with demand in the country. In the first phase awarded to Sacyr Fluor, the Value Engineering Services will be developed, and the Open Book Estimate for the Molleno Terminal will be prepared, expected to be completed by October of this year. Once this stage is complete, in order to obtain the required permits, a second stage will get underway, encompassing detailed engineering services, the procurement of materials and equipment, construction and commissioning of the terminal.
Once the project is completed, it will provide storage to third parties, with modern control and dispatch systems, improving the distribution of fuels in the south of the country.
