Sacyr Ingeniería e Infraestructuras began its construction activity in Qatar in 2013. In recent years it has undertaken various urbanisation and sewage system projects in the country with a total budget of over 500 million euros.

The most important contract is for the works for the collection and treatment of sewage in Ras Bufontas. This project will allow the effluent to be discharged in the HIA Wastewater Treatment Plant (Hamad International Airport).
