Ultra High Density Polyethylene Plant

The first plant on the Iberian Peninsula capable of manufacturing ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), a “super polymer” renowned for its exceptional properties. UHMWPE is a polymer that is strong, hard and self-lubricating. It is used as an alternative to steel in technical and medical applications due to its lightness and toughness.

Applications include batteries, construction, personal protection, the military and medical devices.
