Sacyr's presence in Chile dates from 1996, when it was awarded the first contract to build and operate the Los Vilos-La Serena motorway at the beginning of the concession system. It has gone on to become one of the most important players in the country's construction industry and concessions sector, contributing experience and innovation for the development of highly complex projects.
Since then it has invested almost 6.5 billion dollars in various projects, 13 of them in routes under concession, accounting for over 1,500 km of roads. In the area of hospital infrastructure it has been awarded six hospitals, with a total of over 1,500 beds and almost 629,000 m². Sacyr's experience in Chile also covers other works such as hydraulic, mining and building infrastructure, among others.Sacyr Ingeniería e Infraestructuras continues advancing and innovating in road-surfacing techniques and other processes according to the location of the works, which are distributed from north to south in a wide variety of landscapes and climates.
We have hence played a role in the development of the construction industry in the country.
